Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the best food for your dog can be confusing. Especially since there are so many dog food companies trying to get your attention.
Yes, the salmon, turkey, and pork product is for all life stages. Meaning they meet all the puppy life stage requirements but when your pup reaches adult growth stage you will decrease portions to adult portions. Any dog breed that will be over 30kg when fully grown should consider to be on the Large breed puppy formula. Pups that are Giant breeds NEED to be on the Large Breed Puppy.
Yes, when you change over to any food its best to change gradually, monitoring the stools as you go.
Dogs go through 3 basic stages: puppy, adult and senior. Throughout the stages the ratios and type of nutrition needed are the same as they remain a dog the entire time. What does change is that puppies need more of the same food. Usually, puppies need double the amount for their weight. Senior dogs need less food than an adult, due to decreasing activity. The food quality has no reason to change, just the amounts should be changed to the individual dog's needs. AAFCO has two main standards, one for puppies and their mothers and the other for adults, these standards are simply a floor beneath which pet foods cannot fall if they are to carry a “complete and balanced” statement on their labels. We go much further, fine-tuning our diets to optimize nutrition for all dogs, and that's why dogs do so well on our food. Our All-Life Stage foods meet and far exceed the AAFCO nutritional requirements for both growth and reproduction as well as maintenance adult diets.
Large and giant breed pups are different because they cannot regulate how much calcium they absorb so need less calcium than smaller breeds.

There is no particular formula for fussy dogs as any product would be suitable. We recommend trying our Fussy dog feeding guide, because often the dog is fussy due to incorrect feeding techniques that promote fussiness rather than them not liking the food and if done correctly will work for your dog.
Small breeds under 10kg are at adult growth stage after 8 months old.
10kg -40kg dog is around 9 months.
40kg -60kg....10 months
Great Danes 16-24 months
Depending on the breed, approximately 8-9 months as this is when the main growth has slowed down. From there the portions will be closer to adult portions than puppy portion.
